hands on a hardbody the documentary was released in 1997 and directed by S. R. Blinder. Iy focuses on the story of a group of hard working people from Texas who enter competition to win a truck. To win the truck, the contestants must keep one of their hands on the vehicle and when physical contact with the prize ends, they are no longer participants and they lose the truck.
The contest lasted 72 hours, with breaks of five minutes every one hour and breaks of fifteen minutes every six hours. The documentary was not able to find anywhere if you recalled its existence that should be enough, but luckily, in 2014 it was released again in a DVD version. In the documentary, contestants say things like they have been praying for the truck, so God wants them to win.
The new release of the film is probably a result of the Hand On a Hard Body musical who was run from 2012 to 2014 and made everyone remember about the popularity of the film. In the musical, the documentary was adapted by La Jolla Playhouse. There were 28 playings at the Brooks Atkinson Theater in Brooklyn and the musical also received positive reviews and a Tony award nomination.
